Rides

President's Corner

December 31, 2011

I hate New Year’s resolutions. I’ve always thought they just create more pressure to make the changes which we’re already aware of. But, for 2012, I’m changing my thought process and I’m going to attempt a new way to approach things that may need changing.

In 2012 I’m making New Year’s goals.

Goal #1: Follow the Golden Rule.

Goal#2: Change the oil when it should be changed.

Goal #3: Procrastinate as little as possible.

Goal #4: Check the air pressure in the bike tires every Friday. (I had seven choices, don’t ask)

Goal # 5: Smile whenever it can help a situation even if it’s only my own.

Goal #6: Wave to all motorcycle riders, especially, the ones I’ve waved to many times without reciprocation.

Goal #7: In the words of the famous Thumper, I’ll try not to say anything bad of anyone.

Goal #8: Check the weather before each ride. With today’s technology, why not?

Goal #9: If there is a chance to ride, do it. If there is someone that wants to ride when you may not really care to, refer to goal #1.

Goal# 10: Lose 20, no 25 pounds. (This goal may not happen till late 2012)

Take care and keep the shiny parts off the ground.
